Mrs. Kathryn Fensterer
Mrs. Fensterer earned a BA degree in Early Childhood Education from Catholic University of America. She has completed graduate courses from Trinity College and the College of Notre Dame. Some of her courses of study include Smartboard technology, diagnosing reading disorders in children, STEM instruction, and student-centered math. She is a certified teacher for the State of Maryland and Certified religion teacher for the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C. She has been teaching in the Archdiocese for 28 years, and she taught for one year in Calvert County public schools. Additionally, she taught pre-school part-time for two years in which she taught Faith Formation to first and second graders. Some of her school experiences include being an editor of a student Literary Magazine, Summer Enrichment Program Director/teacher, differentiated instruction and primary Social Studies teacher coordinator. She has been a cooperating teacher for three seniors seeking a degree in education from Catholic University and Maryland University. Outside of school, she loves her family game nights, reading, swimming, cooking, and being outdoors. She has been married for 28 years and has two children. Her oldest son graduated college in 2014 and her younger son is a senior in high school. She has a four-year-old golden retriever.
